MARIAN'S CONNECTIONS is a home based business of
Marian Fryer. A unique consignment shop opened in June, 1995.
It is located in Wheaton, Maryland, close
to the nation's capital and only two blocks from a Metro station. We specialize
in upscale, new and pre-owned clothing and accessories for women.
In addition to providing a place for a
relaxed shopping experience, we are able to assist in attire coordination,
and provide an opportunity to purchase quality goods at reasonable prices.
This is especially important if you are just starting a career. We sell only
the highest quality items and have the best selection of plus sizes in the
Metropolitan area.
Marian also conducts a free workshop/seminar entitled "If You Mean Business, Dress Like It,"
teaching women and girls how to dress and shop economically. She donates
unsold and unwanted quality goods to non-profit groups helping women.
She is active in the community and keeps up on issues affecting our society
especially as they relate to issues affecting women. She is a recipient of the Toyota Tribute to Working Women Award, 1998.
Marian's achievements and community activism has earned her numerous awards including Citizen of the year, 1998, Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board, Blanch Cawton Award for Outstanding Service to the Allied Civic Group, 2000-2001, and the Chuck Levin Economic Development Award, 2003, Wheaton-Kensington Chamber of Commerce. Since 1998, Marian has received numerous certificates of appreciation from the Montgomery County Executive and the County Council. Marian is an active member of New Creation Baptist Church.
